Still Waiting

Well guess what?

Plans are not in council. As our land is still yet not registed. So you can't have plans approved on land that is not registed. "PLEASE EXPLAIN" (said in my Pauline Hanson voice)
It was all to be finished/registed (last stage of the Observatory) by Sept 20 and we received an email saying October 10.
So fingers crossed we start to build by the start of November, which unfortunately doesn't make it to lock up stage by xmas, as we had planned.
Nothing ever goes to plan so i guess i should've expected this.
I will then come up against the seasonal rain and storms that we get on the Gold Coast in January.
Maybe i should just look forward to being in our new home by xmas 2012. That way i won't be disappointed.

I find my self driving past houses and taking pics of them. This house i like the different colour timbers they have used. Not so keen on the green but will keep the timber colours in mind. (this house won a Master Builder award for Landscaping. Apparently behind the fence is 3 pools joined with japanese style stepping stones etc

So i will just be blogging about my every day life till i have some house news.

This morning i started back doing Group beach sessions. So i was up and at Burleigh Beach by 6am and my youngest James (almost 9) came along and joined in too. Last Summer i lost 25 kilos but over the winter i have managed to put on 7 kilos, so back into again for me. (i may post before & after pics as i become more confident with this blogging) They are amazing (well they were before i went and put on 7)

My hubby has been away for 2 weeks with work and returns today. It has been nice to have some time away from each other as we normally work side by side every day 24/7 as we both work from home.
We have been married almost 17 years and most of that time we have worked together.
Trust me we have days where we can't look at each other, but we must do something right as we are still going strong.

Anyways, today i have our 3 kids cleaning their rooms top to bottom and i am going over the house with my magic cleaning wand (i wish). As i want my hubby to think i can cope without him and still keep a clean house. Little does he know, i have taken the kids out to dinner most nights and haven't picked up the mop since he has been gone.
His favourite meal is Beef Stog so i have it in the slow cooker for when he arrives home.
My two boys James at the back. Jack in the middle and their friend Saxon enjoying teppanyaki

Well back to cleaning this house.

House Plans

ok, house plans are finished and off to council. No more changing !!!!!!!
i am so nervous about how it is going to look, as it is one BIG piece of house.

our view of the gold coast, Q1, Broadbeach and  ocean views

how it will look from the front

top & living level

ground/entry level

elevations

I  am thinking earthy colours with sand, latte, cream, white, timber etc...will look good, otherwise it will look to Sovereign Island (e) if i go White, white and more white.....

Jason wants large white/off white high shine tiles through out the living areas and i think timber stairs will look great....I KNOW how hard it is to keep both clean and yes i will hate cleaning it but i want the WOW factor when you walk in.

we are having a glass roof like this

i would like my kitchen to look similar to this
thinking of doing this in my lounge/dining area

Oh let the fun begin,
