Easter 2012

GOOD FRIDAY brought us all fresh prawns & calamari for lunch than fresh fish, which i crumbed & salad for dinner.

I took the kids to the beach for a quick game of beach footy while Jason stayed at home and prepared lunch. This is how it was served up when we arrived home. The kids thought it was really funny that dad had gone to all the effort laying out the prawns around the bowl. I was quietly impressed.

He was also cooking up garlic & sweet chilli prawns. The smell was divine.

EASTER SATURDAY
Gaby worked Easter Saturday than had a couple of friends over in the afternoon.
I took the boys to the QLD Cup game as they are the ball boys for them every home game. They love it. (& the $10 that they get for doing it)

EASTER SUNDAY
I woke at 630am and i hadn't placed the Easter Eggs out the night before. So i quickly just sat them on the dining table, as i didnt want to take the chance of waking them. Normally i would place them at the end of their bed or the last few years i have done a scavenger hunt. James who is 9, still kind of believes in the Easter bunny. He did find one in my bedroom cupboard the other day and came out to me and said "I will know if the Easter Bunny is real if i get a different egg to the one I found" and of course he did get more than just the one he found. So i think this is the last year for sure :(                       Santa could be on the cards next to some how - double :(:(

Here is what they all got. The candy egg is a tradition. I always got one for Easter when i was little. Even right up till i left home i think.

Once we were all up and showered we than all walked down the street to SAGE in Broadbeach for breakie. How convenient. #broadbeach living

James obviously took a pic of his chocolate milkshake. In saying that. This is the first year all the kids didn't touch any of their eggs before breakfast as usually it is their breakfast.

We than walked around the new Oracle Building as they host the Jan Powers Farmers Markets every 2nd Sunday.

Here we ran into EASTER BUNNY - Jack my middle child had just gone back to the apartment as i had stopped a mum with twins and that was way to embarrassing for him. Imagine if he had to be in this photo!

I also brought some passion fruit.

The guy with the guitar has the coolest shoes on.

So after we had finished there. We headed over to the "good old'' Carrara Markets.

The boys wanted to get a new flat cap (which i hate)

We watched the reptile show. This is James touching a lizard of some sort.

And the KING BROWN SNAKE. Arhhhh. With all the bush behind our new place. Lets hope this one stays right away.

OMG what have i done. Corey Worthington the 2nd. NOT!

We finished the day off with a visit to see a friends new baby boy and than a icecream on the way home. We avoid the beach on days like today as they are way to busy for my liking.

HOUSE UPDATE

 The builder did say that this week they will engage the floor to be finished so that the following week the frames can begin to be placed.

MY FINGERS ARE SO VERY CROSSED, as it is only about 8 weeks till contract date and reality is, we wont be making contract date.

Last week they started the fill around and under the house as the waterproofing has been complete.

I did only say started didn't i?

 This week brings my big sister, her partner Troy and their kids up from Wagga to visit. That will keep us busy for the last week of the kids school holidays.
