Buying Storage?

Question Time?

(insert photo here)

Does anyone else have to buy storage to run their blog?

I can not uplaod any more photos onto my blog unless I pay to up grade the storage.

I have two price plans to choose from, via Google;

25GB for $2.49 per month

or

100GB for $4.99 per month

I'm not sure weather I should hand over my credit card details or not?

Any suggestions or help from fellow bloggers who may have encountered these problems?

I'll be back on board as soon as I sort this out! I hope!

  1. I pay for storage. Been paying for it for years. I have five years of blog stuff and pictures floating out there. I think Google is pretty safe. A-M xx

  2. I'm in the same boat. A way around paying for storage is to delete photos - there are often unused pics or multiples that can go. Miss Directions did a post a couple of weeks ago explaining how to do it all.

    1. As you can see, I started deleting pics and accidently deleted my profile pic!

  3. Oh dear! I wonder when my turn is :(

    I'd probably sign up with photobucket or similar.

  5. If you just make sure to lower the size of the photo it's fine. I had this problem too. So I started opening my photos in an alternate program, eg 'paint', resizing them to 25% and then re-saving them as a jpeg. Blogger has rules about how small the pictures need to be so they aren't counted as part of the stored amount. That way you don't have to delete any photos.

    1. I can't remember the exact limit on the size, I think it was about 250k. I've been lowering mine to just under that and the quality is still fine. I haven't had a problem since I started doing this.
