OMG THE DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My house is surrounded by diggers. On my yard and across the road.
My WHITE yes bloody WHITE leather lounge arrives tomorrow so i am going to be a wreak until all the house is concreted and turfed.
We have concreaters everywhere and plumbers doing all the paths around the house and the slab for the snooker room. All of this will be finished by end of next week.
My pool fence is going up as i speak BUT he already has stuffed up and has to change a panel as the gaps dont match up. SORRY Mr glass pool fence man but it just has to be changed. He wasnt to happy!
UPDATE on that horrible painter.
This coming Monday morning there is a meeting at our place with the painter, the builder & Master painter association. ARRRHHHH
I am not happy!
Still waiting on my curtains and blinds but with all the dust around i am ok with that. They should be ready by end of next week.
In other news:
Kids got left at school on Tuesday after the bus driver would not let them on the bus. One had forgot her bus pass and the other had no weekly pass. (oh and that middle child just got on and didn't care that his other siblings were not on)
Long story however after calling the bus company their answer was "no child should be left at any bus stop with or without money" The lady was extremely apologetic and called me back the next day letting me know what happened to the drive.
She called me and said that 'the driver hasn't been spoken to however they are onto him and are doing something sneaky with him as he is known to have done this to more than just our children on many occasions. Looks like he wont have a job for much longer.
Gaby has her Year10 Dinner/Dance next week. And havent i had a wonderful experience with the dress.
She wanted this dress from the internet (mind you somewhere in Hong Kong it came from)
It arrived way to big and it looked like a yr 7 student had made it. Terrible $140 GONE
So off to the shops at Robina Town Centre. She found a great dress she was happy with at Blockout
Then it was shoes, handbag and accessories. I tell you i have done all the things i said i would NEVER do. Many many hours later and loads of arguing. which oh so reminded me of myself and my mum. As everything i liked she was rolling her eyes at.
She is happy with her choices. Me too'
James our youngest had his swimming carnival yesterday.
He had been talking all week leading up to it saying he didnt want to go. Every day he would say "mum, i am not going to school on Thursday" etc....
So Thursday arrived which was yesterday, he WON his 50meter freestyle, WON his backstroke by heaps and came 2nd by a nose in breaststroke but could've won if he hadn't looked around so much. He had all the girls in his class cheering "Jimmy, Jimmy"
Of course all i got from him as a smurk!
Little bugger.
I am having problems with my photo downloads as i have to upgrade so i can down load them.
Until then follow me on my Instagram as i place loads of pics on there of our home and daily life happenings.

I'm not sure how I missed this post Pen.
ReplyDeleteI hope your meeting went as you hoped with the painter, builder and the MPA? I can't see how they couldn't see your point of view?
I can't believe that the kids got left, the promotion up here about "no child left behind" is everywhere. That bus driver obviously didn't like his job or he surely would have shown more care.
I had to laugh at you and Gabby shopping for clothes, it sounds exactly like me and my mum at that age too. Probably still now if I think about it! lol I hope her Dinner dance went well? I'm sure she looked amazing.
Yay for James, he did pretty well for not wanting to go! My #2 Fletch went really well at his swimming carnival and came home with age champion. I didn't even go because I had the same comments the morning of "whatever" Boys? Yay for our little Thorpies!
I hope we get some answers on our photo problems. It's a bit ruff. Almost like we are being held to ransom to run our little blogs. We don't even make any money from it, yet they want ours?? Annoying to say the least!

Missed this post too Pen. Hope all the house delemas are now sorted. Am so very glad my daughter's 'formal' days are over. It's so important to them but such a huge expense and strain on civility!
ReplyDeleteI've also just signed up for 'storage' with google. Are our blogs similar ages or is the fact we're all being hit up for this ATM due to a policy change? Seems odd.
