The sun is shining

This week should be full steam ahead. The weather forecast is sunny all week.
Monday was a public holiday up here in Queensland. So up to the block we went today and happy to say it was full steam ahead...

The digger is on a level where it will be flat grass with a retaining wall below and behind the digger and than another grass area up higher again

This area here is where the pool will be. They will start to dig that once the retaining wall in in next week i think.

This is the view. Big sigh - i just want to sit on the verandah already and enjoy my morning coffee.

I am hoping now that we have been patiently waiting for progress that it all will happen quickly. The date we have in mind is July 20th but i am leaning more to August 20th. Either way i keep telling myself we will be in by xmas.

I haven't blogged for almost 3 weeks. So here is a look at what we have been up to.

Gaby had school friends over and they made a Horror movie in the Basement of our apartment building for Year 10 Media.

OH and the last time i talk about ONE DIRECTION for 16months i promise. Gaby was lucky enough to score herself FRONT ROW seats in Brisbane for their Sept 1013 tour.

I stopped Mat Rogers along Hedges ave on my walk the other day for a quick snap. To Funny. I seriously do embarrass myself but who cares. I DONT.

I had my pic taken with Shelly Craft at the One Direction concert

and i had a few ballet mums who a few nights later had their pic with Charli from Hi-5 who is on breakfast radio up here on the Gold Coast now. So i put it to them as a JOKE - "Game on girls, Lets see who can get the most celebrity pics". I will win for sure. You wait and see. They then came back to me with another pic that night of "Baggs" he is the other morning breakfast host. But he isn't really a celebrity but i gave them that one anyway. So it was 2 ALL
UNTIL

I met up with Katrina from The Block and A-M. Such great people!

So that makes it 3-2 as Katrina did win a LOGIE.

We saw our first crash while we are in the apartment. It is one of the busiest intersection on the Gold Coast it is a wonder we havent seen more.

We had a 40th Birthday in 80s style to celebrate Dayna's Birthday.

No bucking bull up her in QLD we have the wobbly surf board. So much fun!

Today James had District cross country. We have never had any kids do anything much with running. James is our only hope. Jason was an Australasian champion sprinter when he was younger but none of the kids have followed in his footsteps. Kills him i think but he doesn't admit it. James is our fastest runner by far but out of 150 kids today he came in the top 50. So he did well.

This is my friends son Jake. He came in 4th. Well done Jake!

Here James comes sprinting to the end past a heap of kids. I love watching the kids have a go and do there best at what ever they are doing. They all love sport in any shape of form.

All the while Miss Daisy awaits our return. I am sure she is dreaming of grass..

Lets hope i have more house progress pics to come by the end of the week.
