On Sunday, Gaby was at work and the boys were doing ball boy for the Qcup team. So Jason and i went up to the block with a broom and dust pan.
It was time for a clean up.

| And WOW what a difference! |
We were more than happy to do this as we just want to be living there. So we are finding any excuse to be at the block. The brickie even turned up on Sunday to finish the front piers but realized he forgot his power cord and couldn't do anything. So he just set up for the morning instead. Late that afternoon we spoke to Steve (the builder) and mentioned to him that we had gone out and cleaned around the place for him and also hoping we hadn't thrown out anything we shouldn't of. He of course was just thankful that we even wanted to cleaned up the site. So much has happened in such a short time, which has brought so many different tradies on site who don't seem to see the huge skip bin in the front yard. It was the least we could do...
We arrived onsite Monday morning around 830am, like we do everyday after dropping the kids to school, with a Zarraffas coffee in hand (and one for Steve too) to find Steve as placed signs up around the site..

Hello M,
DeleteYes it is so hard to stay away. I am not going up today until after school pick up as i think all the tradies think we are weirdos.

So no coffee for Steve (the builder) this morning hehe
Sounds strange, but that is one of my favourite things about new home building.
ReplyDeleteGoing and cleaning the slab & job site.
Love your transformation of your site Pen (& Jason)
Thumbs up to Steve for his signs, lets hope he makes those messy trades clean up!

Hey there, I'm new to your blog and all glad to found it. Well that was sure a BIGTIME cleaning process, but I can feel that you've very well enjoyed the session. Home building isn't really easy at all, there are so many things to consider but when you'll enjoy it then you'll get it done very fast unconsciously, good thing that you did!
